  • May 2015 Cover, Shutterbug Magazine

I was featured on the cover of the May 2015 issue of Shutterbug Magazine, The Travel Photography Issue. As a landscape photographer we all aspire to ‘get the cover’ but this usually implies a magazine using one of our photographs, not being the subject. This photo was taken by a friend / fellow professional photographer, Josh Miller (www.JoshMillerPhotography.com) while on a wilderness trip in Yosemite National Park. I was set up as close to the edge as I could to safely get shoot closeups and while doing so, Josh, a mile downstream aimed his camera at me. The focus of this particular trip was to backpack into remote parts of the park, lugging our photo gear with us to shoot waterfalls and tell a lesser told story of the park. We both came back with some stunning mages...check out the shot "Waterwheel Falls" in this gallery, it was taken at the same time Josh snapped his cover.
