Half Moon Bay Golf Links

Opening in 1997, this unique course was designed by renowned golf architect Arthur Hills in traditional "Links style” design. You'll find firm, wide open fairways bordered by wispy native grasses and seasonal wildflowers. The changes in elevation adds drama, as does the prevailing on-shore winds, coastal fog and jaw-dropping sunsets. Many large bunker complexes are shared by opposing holes and the undulating greens provide plenty of short-game challenges. As is traditional in Links golf, you'll leave the clubhouse on the first hole and not return until hole 18. While views of the Pacific can be found on nearly every hole, it is the final three holes that truly set the course apart.

The longest par 5 at Bodega Harbour Golf Links is the serene, downhill hole 15. At 512 yards from the black tees, a stiff head wind, OB left and right, and few reachable bunkers in the way - making a par here is a good score.

Mayacama 2 Green

Woven into the hillsides and valleys, the Jack Nicklaus Signature course is unequivocally one of his finest. Guided by caddies, golfers take to the meticulously groomed, 6,761-yard layout. At Mayacama there is never a need for a tee time, but a few minutes on the practice green are best considered. Consistently ranked among Golf Digest’s “Top 100 Courses in America.”

Bodega Harbour 5th Fairway

At 506 yards from the black tees, this par 5 is quite gettable, if you have the courage to go big on your second shot. Taken from a vantage point on the upper layup zone, the descending second shot takes about 265 to reach in 2. Miss left: OB, miss short: pot bunkers, miss right: OB, miss long: houses. Ideal play is to play a conservative fade 150 yards to the middle right, come in 100 yards with a wedge to pin high, sink a birdie!

Bodega Harbour 7th Green

This solitary image tells the story of the 7th green. 215 yards from the tips, and visually off into the abyss if you go long. The green sloped dramatically from front to back so you're best to play to the front and let it release. This image actually a bit of an optical illusion, as the 8th tee box and an entire neighborhood actually rests below this green, but from the elevated tee the view is unparalleled.

Sonoma Golf Club

Playing just over 7,100 yards from the championship tees, this classic layout offers strategic choices and challenges that excite golfers swinging graphite and titanium just as it did when they were carrying hickory and persimmon.
