Maverick's January 2, 2020
Each session at Maverick's has its own unique characteristics due to the wide variation in winds, swell direction, tides, athletes and so on. This particular session had enormous westerly waves and a 14 knot WNW wind that created raw, bumpy conditions and lots of dramatic wipeouts. A highlight is Chris Mashburn's 'no wetsuit' wipeout (Water temp: 58, Air Temp: Less).
